Year 4 Teaching job in Brislington, Bristol

Your new company

Hays Education are currently recruiting for reliable and adaptable Year 4 teacher to work at a Primary School in South Bristol. This 3-form school has over 600 children which includes a Nursery as well as access to vast grounds and outdoor spaces which are used to enhance the learning experience.

Your new role

This role is on a full time basis for Terms 5 and 6 with the possibility of being extended to a permanent position if the candidate is successful in integrating themselves within the school’s culture. As part of the role and in consideration of this being during the last terms of the academic year, there will be some report building that is required by the successful candidate as well as planning whereby PPA time will be allocated for half a day per week. There is no Maths or English planning required as this has already been set for these terms. There is a staff meeting once a week on a Wednesday which the school will expect you to attend.

The successful candidate will have strong behavioural managements skills although the school does not have high SEND or behavioural requirements. The successful candidate will have routine day to day classroom responsibilities along with working with other teachers in the year to form a collaborative team. What you'll need to succeed


  • You should have experience within a classroom setting in the last 5 years.
  • Experience in teaching Key Stage 2 is preferred but any Primary School experience will suffice.
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a UK Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Good knowledge of the English National Curriculum
