We are looking to recruit an experienced Neighbourhood Officer on an ongoing, temporary contract in St Helens. This is a full time, 37 hour per week role, with hourly rates up to £22ph!

You will be responsible for your own patch of approx 500 general needs properties, providing high-quality housing and tenancy management services. This is a hybrid position, but will need access to your own vehicle with valid business insurance to be considered, due to the nature of the role.

Your new role

• Undertaking new tenancy visits, tenancy reviews, audits, exchanges, viewings and attending evictions
• Dealing with abandoned properties, unauthorised occupations, including subletting and tenancy fraud
• Identifying customers who are low to medium risk of tenancy failure and implementing interventions to support tenancy sustainment or signposting to external agencies as approproate
• Triaging and managing all ASB and tenancy breach cases, working in partnership with Enforcement Officers and other stakeholders to tackle and reduce ASB in communities
• Estate management
• Promoting tenant engagement, maintaining tenant satisfaction and listening to feedback from customers
• Responding to general enquiries or complaints

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a similar role/setting providing housing and tenancy management services to a patch of 300+ properties

• Good knowledge and understanding of housing & tenancy management principles and best practice

• ASB caseload management experience

• Good knowledge and understanding of welfare reform and ability to provide sound advice to support tenancy sustainment

• Driving licence with access to own vehicle and valid business insurance
