Your new role

• Perform routine and specialist analytical testing on biological samples, analyse data, and authorise results.
• Review, release, and report results through the LIMS system, ensuring turnaround times are maintained.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with specimens, analytical equipment, and EQA schemes.
• Maintain and operate specialist lab equipment, manage lab stock, and order supplies.
• Basic management and training of junior lab staff
• Participate in maintaining the Quality Management System (ISO 15189) and observe all relevant health and safety regulations & participate in routine audits

What you'll need to succeed

• At least 3–5 years post HCPC registration multidisciplinary laboratory experience
• Demonstrable technical skills in pathology disciplines and the use of laboratory information systems
• High attention to detail and ability to follow lab protocols
• Educated to degree level or equivalent with a degree accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS), in Biological, Medical or Health Science disciplines
• Ability to communicate this necessity to other members of the team, and support them in understanding and reviewing SOPs
