Special Needs Teaching Assistant

At Hays Education, we work closely with our extensive network of schools to fill exciting and challenging teaching assistant roles in Didsbury and surrounding areas in Greater Manchester. We are seeking a motivated and determined individual to join the provision team of an SEN school in Didsbury, providing excellent support and care for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Responsibilities:

  • Fostering a safe and supportive learning environment for students with a range of additional needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to support each student’s development
  • Implementing positive behaviour management strategies and de-escalation techniques
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with students with SEND
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with SEND
  • Strong differentiated communication techniques
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
  • A proactive and caring attitude
