Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Art Teacher to join our team. This role involves long-term planning and marking, starting from Easter. The successful candidate will inspire and nurture creativity in students, helping them to develop their artistic skills and appreciation for the arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective art lessons to students.
  • Develop long-term plans and schemes of work for the art curriculum.
  • Assess and mark students' work, providing constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage students' artistic expression and critical thinking.
  • Organise and participate in extracurricular art activities and events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience.
Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to undergo a new check.
  • Strong knowledge of art techniques, history, and theory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
