Your new role

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment, machinery, and facilities. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Performing planned maintenance tasks in accordance with maintenance schedules.
  • Being the first responder to equipment and machinery breakdowns, forming a key part of the escalation policy.
  • Carrying out repair, replacement, and refurbishment of various parts, components, and systems.
  • Supporting the installation, relocation, and modification of equipment and machinery as required.
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities through maintenance activities and communicating potential improvements.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
  • Upholding 5S standards in all maintenance work areas.
  • Collaborating with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimise operational disruption.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A clear working knowledge of different equipment, machinery, and systems, including Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic.
  • The ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues.
  • An understanding of safety regulations and the ability to perform Dynamic Risk Assessments.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with various team members.
  • Strong time management skills.
Need to have:
  • A relevant vocational qualification (NVQ, ONC, C&G) with an appropriate apprenticeship.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience post-apprenticeship within a maintenance environment.
  • Candidates without qualifications but who can demonstrate relevant industrial knowledge and experience will be considered.

Salary:
£50,000 including shift allowance.
Shifts:
Continental working 12-hour shifts:
  • 4 days on, 4 off, 4 days on, 4 off (6am-6pm)
  • 4 nights on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off (6pm-6am)
