Domestic Abuse Young Person Support Worker

Your New Company

We are looking for a Domestic Abuse Young Person Support Worker to join a strong team within the Gwent region. You will be ensuring that young people receive personalised and sensitive care that meets their various psychological, physical and health needs.

Your New Role

In the role of Domestic Abuse Young Person Support Worker, you will be supporting young people who have been affected by domestic violence. You will deliver a mix of 1:1 support, awareness-raising sessions, and group programmes. The role will also include helping young people to develop a better understanding of domestic abuse to positively impact them now and in the future.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

To succeed in the role of Domestic Abuse Young Person Support Worker, you will need previous experience in Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence support work. It would also be beneficial to have experience working with children and young people. You will also need the ability to stay calm and positive in challenging situations. It is essential for the role that you have a full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.

What you’ll get in return:

  • 35 Hours a week
  • Monday to Friday 9-4:30 or 9:30-5
  • 25 days annual leave
  • Salary £23,982 per year
  • Free enhanced DBS check
