Hays is exclusively collaborating with a Public Sector Organisation seeking an experienced Payroll Clerk for a 12-month part-time contract based in Telford. The role involves 21 hours per week, with flexibility to work across 3, 4, or 5 days, depending on individual preferences.
Your New Role
In this position, you will oversee your designated portion of the payroll, with responsibilities including:
- Processing monthly payroll for your assigned area.
- Resolving payroll queries and addressing related issues.
- Maintaining absence and sickness records.
- Collaborating with HR, Payroll Managers, and the wider organisation.
- Calculating statutory payments.
- Producing reports in partnership with HR and payroll departments.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you should:
- Have prior experience as a Payroll Clerk.
- Be available at short notice for a 12-month part-time commitment.
- Demonstrate strong processing skills and proficiency in IT, including Excel.
- Work effectively within a team to meet deadlines.
- Possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
