About the School:
We are thrilled to be recruiting on behalf of a dedicated primary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Salford. This school is committed to providing a supportive and nurturing environment for children who require additional support due to behavioural, emotional, or social difficulties. The school aims to help every child achieve their full potential through tailored educational programs and interventions.

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the learning and development of students, working closely with teachers and other staff to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
  • Help develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to meet the needs of each student.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
Key Requirements:
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a PRU or SEN setting.
  • Strong understanding of behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs (desirable).
