Hays Education are currently recruiting for reliable and adaptable primary teachers to work at Primary Schools in Bristol. This role can be based in either Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 or even both and the school will be looking for somebody who is open to experiencing teaching all years of the primary curriculum. Due to the phenomenal demand from Primary School’s across the Bristol area, we are in a position where we can put you onto a guarantee scheme meaning that we will guarantee to place you out to work however many days in your weekly availability; if we are unable to do so on a particular day, we will pay you anyway! Perfect for anybody who wants temporary work in school’s along with reliability.

Your new role

This role is on a full or part time basis and will be suited to those who have a passion for Primary School teaching. Working with our partnership schools, you will build relationships with key contacts within the school setting and you will often be requested to cover a teacher’s planned PPA time. In the event of a teacher’s absence, you will be covering the classroom duties for the day The schools will be looking for someone with strong behaviour management as the class is likely to have a mixture of varying abilities; the role is open to ECT's with good classroom management skills. The successful candidate will have routine day to day classroom responsibilities along with working with other teachers in the year to form a collaborative team. Many teacher’s who have worked through Hays have continued on to longer term placements and in some occasions, have been made a permanent offer. What you'll need to succeed

  • You should have experience within a classroom setting in the last 5 years.
  • Experience in teaching Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2 is preferred.
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a UK Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Good knowledge of the English National Curriculum
