Interim Opportunity - Economic Development Officer
Your new company
Do you have experience within economic development, partnership working or project delivery? - If so, an interim role has arisen which can accommodate either full-time or part-time working, alongside flexibility in your working location. You will join a local authority who are committed to fostering sustainable economic growth and enhancing the quality of life for residents and the community.
Your new role
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this project, you will need to have proven experience in economic development, place making, green transport, or even civil engineering with partnership working experience. Strong project management skills are essential, alongside effective communication and stakeholder management ability.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive an initial contract with a duration of up to 6 months, although this is likely to extend beyond this point. A daily rate of up to £350 per day is available, paid on a weekly basis, for the duration of your contract.

Your new role
- Involvement in place making initiatives which enhance the physical and social environment for the community, creating vibrant and sustainable places.
- Delivering green transport projects which promote sustainable transport options, reducing carbon emissions.
- Assisting, and inputting into a range of other transport projects which include new road layouts, cycle ways and more.
- Collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, including local businesses, community groups, and government agencies, to drive forward economic development.
- Engage with the local community to gather input and support for projects and initiatives.
