Your new role

• Steer multiple finance teams, crafting and executing plans to improve financial outcomes and operational effectiveness.
• Motivate and enable team members to excel, promoting a culture of responsibility and high standards.
• Manage daily financial activities, ensuring precise reporting, efficient cash management, and robust controls.
• Work with other departments to align financial strategies with business goals, encouraging teamwork.
• Evaluate financial results, offering insights and advice to senior management.
• Lead efforts to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness within the finance team and the broader organisation.
• Successfully implement new systems, processes, and policies to support the evolving needs of the business.
• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and compliance with regulatory requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

• Ideally, you will have trained professionally in an accountancy practice and be qualified in ACA or ACCA.
• Prior experience of a finance leadership role in a complex and large-scale organisation
• Ability to lead and motivate staff, acting as a #2 to the Finance Director
