Cyber Security Specialist Project Manager (2 Year Fixed Term Contract)
Permanent Salary: Between £75,000 - £85,000
Location: UK Wide
Working Arrangement: Mainly remote – Occasional trips to Gloucester or London


Synopsis

I’m working exclusively with a utilities business who are seeking a Cyber Security Specialist Project Manager.
This role will require eligibility to obtain SC clearance necessitating at least 5 years of work in the UK, and does not offer sponsorship. Cyber Security project management experience is mandatory.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with GRC teams, experience working in highly regulated and federated environments and experience owning projects and implementing good project discipline.

This role reports into the Business Information Security Officer and will face off to GRC teams alongside customers and corporate areas of business.

Your new role will involve

  • Project managing multiple workstreams spanning:
  • GRC, IAM/PAM, technical controls assurance, security operations, training and awareness, critical asset discovery, incident response, disaster recovery and more.
  • Cyber project process management
  • Assisting cyber and information security teams with articulation of security awareness initiatives to wider business areas.
  • Implementing and enforcing reporting and KPI measurement
  • Managing the implementation of technical controls
  • Assisting with identifying and increasing areas of ISO27001 scope
  • Improving organisational resilience
  • Breaking processes down into component parts, streamlining, increasing project discipline
  • Assisting with communications of cyber topics to wider business areas
What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrable cyber and information security project understanding across above-mentioned security realms/workstreams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and engagement skills (appropriate risk articulation, stakeholder management, direct manner of speaking)
  • Mindset: highly process orientated and business solution orientated (enabler, facilitator)
  • Experience in highly regulated environments at large, complex organisations is mandatory
  • Experience of cyber project delivery
