Hays are recruiting for a rapidly growing company based in Teesside, committed to innovation and excellence. Due to expansion, the company is looking for a dedicated accountant to join the finance team and contribute to overall success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Purchasing and Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse financial reports related to purchasing and procurement activities.
  • Management Accounting: Assisting with monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasting, accruals and prepayments, depreciations and analysis
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of budgets, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Grant Management: Experience with grants is a significant advantage, as you will be involved in managing and reporting on grant funding.
  • Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, ideally studying for an accountancy qualification, CIMA, ACCA or ACA
  • Experience: Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on purchasing and procurement. Experience with grants is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Availability: Immediate start required.
