Job Description:
Your new company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Property Assessor to join our dynamic team. To lead a team of Property Assessors to carry out surveys to assess the condition of our homes and buildings as well as EPCs to enable the accurate planning of current and future investment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience conducting EPC surveys (ideally). While being DEA-accredited is also looked at favourably, the role requires the successful candidate to line manage five property assessors who are tasked with collecting accurate and high-quality property data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake EPC or SAP assessments where required and identify where investment in energy efficiency and sustainability measures is best targeted.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of five property assessors.
  • Review and approve assessment reports prepared by team members.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for the team.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of assessments.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Calculate HHSRS hazard categories and ratings and ensure these are reported to the organisation.
  • Undertake pre-and post-inspections of customer delivered improvement works, ensuring that standards and regulations (where applicable) are adhered to.
  • Provide and record property attribute and condition information, ensuring that the businesses' asset management systems are accurately and effectively updated with relevant information.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years of experience in conducting EPC surveys.
  • DEA accreditation is not essential but preferred.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using assessment tools and software.
