Hays are partnering with a Commercial Offsite Fabrication organisation, to recruit for a Senior Commercial Buyer to join their team.
Your new role
To assist in the procurement of all Mechanical & Electrical material & contracted works for all live projects.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven track record in negotiating high-value contracts and cost reduction strategies.
- Excellent negotiating skills.
- Extensive experience in managing mechanical and electrical orders.
- Ability to manage procurement budgets and meet financial targets.
- Familiarity with contracts, pricing structures, and commercial terms.
- At least 4-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or commercial buying within the M&E sector.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Highly organised and structured in your work approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle a diverse workload with minimal supervision.
- Proven record of delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
- Enthusiastic adopter/user of IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
- Previous experience in a procurement role.
