School Administrator Required in Lancaster - Start April

If so, you might be the perfect candidate for our temporary school administrator position in Lancaster!

Your new role

As a school administrator for this school in Lancaster, you will be responsible for supporting the school office to contribute to the smooth running of the school by carrying out a range of administrative duties, including preparation of resources, departmental administration and reception cover. You will be expected to demonstrate solid work experience in an administration role and be able to use initiative, be enthusiastic and motivated in providing excellent customer support. A DBS on the update service would be an advantage.

This is a full-time position working Monday–Friday 8.00 am - 4pm and will be on a temporary basis on an ongoing basis. You will need to be available for a start date at the end of April.

  • Communication with students, staff, families and external agencies by telephone, email and letter.
  • Update and maintain records, databases, and files on SIMS.
  • Preparation of documentation and resources, tidying of materials and replenishment of stock.
  • Using ICT systems for communications and record-keeping, including SIMS.net, Edulink, EVOLVE, CPOMS, and ParentPay.
  • Supporting the reception team two days a week
  • Work as part of a team, ensuring the supervision, safety and welfare of pupils throughout the school day.
  • Carrying out reprographics work.
  • You may also be required to participate in trips and visits.

  • Previous experience in a school or office environment
  • Knowledge of SIMS or other school management systems (desirable but not essential)

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
