Your new role
We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and imaginative Key Stage 1 Teacher to join this school's dedicated team. The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and learning, and committed to ensuring the best outcomes for the school's children. Working on a full-time basis, you will teach a class of 13 children, a class comprising children with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and mild Special Educational Needs (SEN), and will work alongside a partner teacher, who is an established Key Stage 1 Teacher. Your role will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning.
- Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community.
- Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Key Stage 1.
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
- Strong and effective behaviour management is essential, as is having high expectations of behaviour.
- Experience of Read Write Inc (RWI), Number Sense and TT Rock Stars will be desirable, but not essential.
- A commitment to working in partnership with your partner teacher.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- The ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
