At Hays, we are working with a further/higher education institution who are looking for a Finance Business Partner/ Manager to join their Finance Team. In this role, your key areas of focus will be...
- Provide expert financial guidance to colleagues, influencing strategic and operational decisions.
- Collaborate with the finance lead to develop and implement the financial strategy.
- Identify and manage financial risks effectively.
- Deliver sustainable five-year financial plans with robust budget monitoring and control.
- Produce and present management accounts and financial information to management teams.
- Oversee financial activities such as statutory returns, investment appraisals, and contract reviews.
- Lead the finance team, ensuring workload management, staff development, and performance appraisal.
- Ensure adherence to the organisation's financial regulations and procedures.
- Assist and deputise for the finance lead, building networks with other teams and professional services.
- Drive continuous improvement of financial processes across the team.
To be successful in this role, you will need...
- CCAB (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) qualification
- Extensive business partnering
- Senior level management accounting skills and experience
- Strong line management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build credibility and trust with a wide range of people
- Complex funding and financial management
- Resilience and organisational skills to manage work in a fast-paced environment
- Strategic data interpretation and decision-making influence experience
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities within financial regulations
- SAP and PowerBI proficiency desirable
