Accounts Semi Senior Job, Manchester, £25k - £30k with study support at a strong independent practice
Your new firm
This is an exciting accounts semi-senior job opportunity located in Manchester, where you will be joining a leading independent practice with over 60 years of specialist knowledge, with services in audit, bookkeeping, accounts, corporate tax, payroll and more. Their client portfolio varies in all industries and sizes, typically professional services, SMEs, charities and more. With varying specialist knowledge within the team, it is a progressive opportunity to join a general practice where you can get exposure to all aspects of accounting. Due to ongoing growth and new business, an accounts semi-senior vacancy has arisen.
Your new role
You will be joining a successful team of general practice professionals. Your day-to-day duties involve the preparation of year-end statements for clients whilst building long-lasting relationships with them and helping them when required, whilst assisting junior members of the team and supporting your seniors daily. You will also be calculating corporation and personal tax liabilities, whilst assisting on audit files, specifically the fieldwork, testing and completion stages. You will also be continuing your own personal progress to achieve and be successful in your ACCA/ACA qualifications. This opportunity will allow you to continuously gain practical knowledge, furthering your progression, whilst continuing your studies to becoming a chartered accountant.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this job you will need at least two years’ experience in an accountancy practice, whilst having passed your AAT qualifications and having started ACCA/ACA. Having experience with Xero and Sage software will also be desired. Other personal skills and qualities that will be required consist of being able to develop and maintain long-lasting relationships, having the ability to demonstrate extraordinary service and embracing the firm's qualities and also being motivated by a fast past environment, having a proactive attitude no matter the task.
