Your new company

Established almost 30 years ago, this company is known as local specialists representing the top manufacturers in their industry. Hays has been appointed by this company to recruit an Administrator / Parts Advisor to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position. It is an office-based role and the working days are Monday to Friday.


Your new role

In your role, you will work within the spare parts and servicing departments where there is a strong ethos of customer satisfaction, focusing on after-sales customer care to maximise customer productivity and output. As Administrator / Parts Advisor, you will be the first point of contact for all customer enquiries via telephone and e-mail. You will be responsible for the identification of spare parts using online machine manuals and technical diagrams. Assisting in the sourcing of parts identified by customers and site engineers. Advising on parts availability, pricing, and lead times. Liaising with the Warranty department case owners and ensuring timely processing of returns. You will be responsible for maintaining an accurate internal stock control system, co-ordinating transportation of parts via couriers and tracking deliveries for customers. You will manage the accurate and timely completion of all paperwork relating to the role and ensure that the Parts Department runs efficiently.


What you'll need to succeed

As Administrator / Parts Advisor, you will be educated to a minimum of GCSE standard or equivalent to include Maths and English. You will be able to demonstrate previous experience of working within a busy office environment, ideally in an after-sales customer service role. It is important that you are self-motivated and able to work using your own initiative. You will have the ability to organise and prioritise your workload using your own initiative to meet deadlines. Be proficient in MS Office. Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
