Allocations Officer required on a temporary basis by a large Housing Association in Belfast

Your new company

The services of Hays have been retained by our client, a large Housing Association based in Belfast, to recruit an Allocations Officer on a temporary contract basis for a period of 3 months.

Your new role

You will assist with the allocation of homes to tenants as per the common selection scheme framework, in the best possible way to minimise void and rent loss. This will include:

Operating Housing Management database systems in a timely and accurate way.
Generating and actioning reports as required.
Liaising with other agencies, organisations, associations, tenants and staff in relation to the waiting list.
Recommending offers of allocation to Housing Manager / Senior Housing Officer for authorisation.
Sending out offers and updating the databases.
Dealing with a range of letting enquiries via telephone, e-mail and other media in relation to allocations and lettings.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position, you must possess:

A minimum of 1 year's experience working in an office environment within Housing / Estate Management.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel, Office etc
A working knowledge and understanding of the Housing Selection Scheme.
A working knowledge and understanding of Housing Management System (HMS).

What you'll get in return

This position offers an immediate start with the opportunity to work with a large Housing Association based in Belfast. You will be paid via Hays on a weekly basis for all hours worked.
