Your new company

You will be working within the public sector, for an organisation which regulates scientific testing. With the purpose of protecting these animals by maintaining compliance standards are met.


Your new role

The Inspector's role is critical to facilitating scientific progress in the United Kingdom and protecting the animals used in science.

Some responsibilities include:
  • Providing recommendations for licence application.
  • Completing retrospective assessments (RAs).
  • Drafting remedy letters and inspector advice for establishments.
  • Responding to regulatory advice queries.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent relationship-building, motivational, influencing and negotiating skills.

  • Excellent organisational skills.

  • Knowledge and/or experience of biomedical and life sciences research.

  • Experience as an Auditor (MHRA, ISO9001, GMP, GLP)

  • Experience in regulatory delivery/policy.


You MUST have full registration with either the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) or the General Medical Council (GMC). Medically qualified inspectors do not need to maintain a licence to practice
