Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our finance team at [Private Education Company Name]. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working both remotely and from our London office.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Verify and reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and reporting.
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar accounts payable/accounts receivable role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in the education sector is a plus, but not required.
