ASC Teacher - Immediate Start
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive school in Wolverhampton. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess tailored lessons that meet the individual learning needs of students with ASC.
- Implement strategies to support students with a range of learning styles, ensuring they can access the curriculum and make progress.
- Create a structured and calm classroom environment, using positive behaviour strategies to support students' emotional and social needs.
- Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support to students.
- Regularly track and monitor student progress, adjusting learning strategies as necessary to meet students' evolving needs.
- Establish strong working relationships with students' families and carers, providing regular updates on progress and wellbeing.
Person Specification:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience of teaching students with Autism Spectrum Condition or special educational needs.
- A deep understanding of ASC and how it affects learning and behaviour.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A patient, empathetic approach to teaching, with a strong focus on the individual needs of each student.
- A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.
