Your New Job

• Daily Transactions: Oversee and process daily financial transactions, ensuring real-time updates.
• Sales and Reconciliation: Record all sales by month-end and perform accurate reconciliations.
• Journal Entries: Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including payroll, depreciation, prepayments, and accruals.
• Reconciliations: Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and balance sheets within deadlines.
• Month-End Reports: Support the preparation of month-end and management accounts finance reports.
• Year-End Audit: Assist with year-end audit preparation and address queries from auditors or stakeholders.
• Stock Reviews: Conduct quarterly stock level reviews and liaise with Operations for month-end reconciliations.
• Payment Runs: Perform weekly payment runs.
• Client Refunds: Ensure timely processing of client refunds.
• Financial Control: Support financial management and control across the company.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Assist with ad hoc projects as required.
• Training: Undertake training to keep accounting knowledge up to date and complete required company training.
• Process Improvement: Recommend improvements to minimise errors and automate repetitive tasks.
• Deadline Compliance: Assist in meeting finance-related deadlines and targets.
• Flexibility: Be flexible and willing to perform other duties as needed.

What You Will Need

• Experience: Around 5 years experience working within a Finance Department.
• Qualifications: either actively studying for an accountancy qualification or demonstrate the relevant equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in IT, with extensive experience using Adobe and Microsoft packages.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
• Experience with XERO accounting software.
• Attention to Detail: Strong reconciliation skills and the ability to maintain focus under pressure.
• High attention to detail and proactive in delivering excellence.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
• Effective internal and external communication within the team.
• Ability to work collaboratively and prioritise workload effectively.
• Solutions-focused approach.
• Positive and can-do attitude.
