Your new role
They are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the global consultancy business. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation. The key responsibilities are;
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers
- Process invoices, expense claims, and payments in a timely manner
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial data
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist with audits and internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations
- Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights and support
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
- Handle ad hoc financial tasks and projects as required
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Relevant experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within a consultancy or professional services environment
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
