This is the opportunity to join a well-respected accountancy firm based in Glasgow city centre. The firm offers a range of services including audit, accounts and tax and boasts a varied and diverse portfolio of clients including sole-traders, partnerships and limited companies. The firm is a short walk from both Glasgow Central and Queen Street Train Stations, being surrounded by a variety of shops and restaurants.


Your new role

The key duties of your new role will include:

• Deliver high-quality audits adhering to International Auditing Standards and provide non-audit services while coordinating team members for seamless delivery.
• Prepare annual accounts with knowledge of UK GAAP (including FRS 102).
• Engage in the preparation of forecasts, grant applications, audits, and financial due diligence.
• Achieve departmental and individual performance objectives.
• Manage client-related tasks such as budgets, WIP, and timely billing.
• Maintain the highest technical and professional standards.
• Understand client needs and key risks to think strategically, provide additional guidance, deliver results, and manage expectations.
• Monitor, control, coach, train, and develop staff to enhance their knowledge and performance.
• Act as a role model for department professionals.


What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will have experience working at a practice accountancy firm and hold a similar role. You will have experience managing your own portfolio of clients and be comfortable offering expertise across audit and accounts. The successful candidate will hold a professional qualification such as ICAS or ACCA and boast excellent technical capabilities coupled with strong communication skills.
