Audit senior ACA ACCA newly or part qualified accountancy practice Southampton

Looking for an exciting opportunity to elevate your career? A leading independent accountancy firm in Southampton is on the lookout for an Audit Senior to join their ambitious Audit and Accounts team. Known for delivering expert advisory services—from audit and tax planning to corporate finance and IT—the firm is driven by a commitment to excellence and innovative client solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, complete, and finalise audit and accounts preparation assignments.
  • Prepare and finalise financial statements and tax computations.
  • Set objectives for junior audit staff, supervise their work on-site, and offer on-the-job training.
  • Review junior staff's audit work, providing feedback to support their development.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while adhering to deadlines and budgets.
Ideal Candidate:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or part-qualified) with recent external audit experience in a practice environment.
  • Proficient in FRS102, with excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and, ideally, IRIS Accountancy software.
  • Detail-oriented, methodical, and able to thrive under pressure.
