A Global Leading Bank is seeking an experienced AVP Trade Support professional to join their dynamic team. This role involves providing comprehensive Derivatives Trade Support across both the firm's banking arm and securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. You will be responsible for making decisions on behalf of both entities, ensuring seamless operations and accurate trade bookings. This is a hybrid position.
Your new role
- Execute day-to-day processes with precision, contributing to the re-engineering and building of controls.
- Liaise closely with Trading, Sales, and Structuring teams to ensure accurate and timely trade bookings.
- Serve as a key liaison between trading, support functions, and counterparties.
- Manage the trade lifecycle, including T0 validation, fixings, coupon calculations, trigger monitoring, break clause, and expiry monitoring.
- Ensure the accuracy of all components of new and existing trade bookings across multiple systems.
- Understand and implement controls required to support the business through inter-system reconciliations.
- Adhere strictly to internal control and escalation protocols.
- Maintain a consistent and robust control environment.
- Contribute to continuous process improvements.
- Develop and test in-house systems.
- Participate in strategic projects across multiple infrastructures.
- Compose and maintain process manuals to ensure accurate and efficient trade support.

- Multi-asset experience supporting flow and exotic derivative products in trade support or product control capacity.
- Strong understanding of various asset classes, particularly rates, credit, and FX derivatives, and complex booking methodologies.
- Good understanding of Confirmations and ISDA documentation.
- Strong knowledge of derivative products, payoff features, and risk profile analysis.
- Understanding of lifecycle events and associated risks on these products.
- Infrastructure knowledge of electronic trading platforms such as MarkitWire, TradeWeb, Bloomberg TOMS, ICE Link, etc.
- Experience in clearing mechanics and compression optimisation.
- Understanding of front-to-back process flow, including Market Risk, Credit Risk, Finance, Product Control, Legal, Compliance, etc.
- Financial Math knowledge.
- Fundamentals of P&L substantiation.
- Basic understanding of projection/discount curves and swap pricing.
- Appreciation of the Greeks.
- Understanding of ISDA swap definitions.
- Good understanding of regulatory reporting requirements in various jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with running robust reconciliations and controls.
- Understanding of lifecycle event management on both vanilla and structured products.
- Knowledge of cash flows and dynamics of the banking business, including funding requirements.
- Knowledge of collateral processes, Initial Margin, Variation Margin, and general CSA familiarity.
- Accounting knowledge to identify impacts on P&L and Balance Sheet from trade bookings.
