Business Analyst - Permanent - Glasgow

Hays is currently supporting a dynamic mid-sized financial services business committed to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional service to their clients. They are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analysing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Conduct "as is" requirements gathering to understand current business processes, systems, and pain points.
  • Develop detailed project plans and timelines to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, process flows, and user guides.
  • Perform data analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather input and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to users on new systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a mid-sized organisation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools and software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualisation tools such as Jira, BMPN2 or Visio.
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus.
