Casualty Associate/Senior Associate (4+ PQE) sought after by leading defendant firm

Your new company
Our client is a well-regarded defendant law firm with offices across the North of England. They are currently recruiting for an Associate or Senior Associate with a minimum of 4 years PQE to join their Manchester city centre office on a hybrid working basis. You will be joining the Casualty department primarily working on defendant EL/PL cases.

Your new role
This Casualty Associate/Senior Associate position will see you responsible for your own caseload of litigated and non-litigated caseload of defendant EL/PL matters. You can also expect to handle some motor claims. Successful applicants will be expected to support the Head of Department, Partners and other team members on their files. Depending on previous experience and level of seniority, you may be expected to partake in business development to build relationships and enhance the profile of the firm.

What you'll need to succeed
You must be a qualified solicitor/CILEx with a minimum of 4 years PQE within insurance litigation. Previous defendant EL/PL and Motor experience is essential, and you must have experience dealing with insurers and/or local authorities. Ideally, you will have experience supervising paralegals and/or junior solicitors. You must have an excellent understanding of CPR and strong communication skills.
