Technical Account Manager, Energy, working for an established Lloyd's Broker

Due to the growth of the Non-Marine Client Services Team, a permanent job for a Broker Technician has arisen.

Your new role

Your new job working as a Broker Technician will require you to have experience in a similar technical support role and will be proficient in producing slips for the Energy business. You will also be passionate about providing excellent technical knowledge and understanding, to deliver proactive solutions to clients. Duties will include providing global support to relevant teams, preparing renewal statistics and documentation for market placement, offering trusted technical support, creating and preparing global market and client documentation, especially slip production, wording and clauses, assisting with drafting client evidence of coverage including debit/credit notes. Further duties include producing monthly reports and statistics, maintaining and updating internal paper and electronic systems, databases and workflows, using internal systems to produce documents and accounting entries, submitting slips and LPANs to relevant bureaus. Other duties include assisting with client liaison, ensuring queries are handled promptly, developing business relationships with global markets, clients and colleagues and continuously reviewing client service delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience working as a Broker Technician, ideally with previous experience producing slips for the Energy business, will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have intermediate knowledge of the (re)insurance market to address client and technical issues, strong communication and interpersonal skills, high accuracy and attention to detail, good understanding of global market dynamics and their impact on clients, work within agreed procedures and processes, be well-organised, able to prioritise, multitask, work well under pressure and to strict deadlines. You will also need to be CII qualified or working towards CII qualification, a team player, willing to work flexibly and assist colleagues as needed, intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and previous experience as a Processing Technician is desirable.
