Commercial Procurement solicitor opportunity for Leeds/Newcastle-based lawyers. Circa 4PQE, 2 days in office!

A leading national legal practice has an excellent role in either their Leeds or Newcastle office for a solicitor who has solid experience in both commercial contracts and advising on big procurement and infrastructure projects. Although my client is looking for a solicitor who possesses strong skills in both of these areas, it is essential that candidates applying for this role have previous procurement experience which is demonstrated through their CV (and for any candidates who do not have procurement experience, they must be able to clearly show why they are interested in the area and this again must be shown on their CV).

My client regularly works on a number of high-profile projects which often attract a lot of media attention, so anyone who wants to be involved with high-quality and critically important work should seriously consider applying for this role. Most of the work is within the healthcare and public law space, but it is not essential for candidates with both commercial contracts and procurement experience to have operated within either space previously.

For this role, my client is keen to see candidates who come from a private practice background as this role is unlikely to be suitable for someone who is operating in-house at the moment. However, if you are currently working in-house and are interested in this opportunity then as long as you have some previous experience working in private practice then you should still consider making an application.

My client is looking to recruit a solicitor who is anywhere from 4PQE or above, but any candidates who are slightly below this threshold who can demonstrate all of the above should still apply as my client will be happy to consider your application.

On offer is a hybrid working policy which requires 2 days a week in my client's Leeds or Newcastle office with the remainder working from home. Salary for this role is completely dependent on the level of PQE that candidates applying have.
