We’re working in partnership with an Australian-based Demolition & Civil Construction company operating nationwide. Their South Australian team is looking to support the relocation of a dedicated Construction Manager from the UK.
This National firm boasts a current project portfolio of 12 active jobs with a strong up-and-coming pipeline across urban, industrial, resources, transport & shopping, environment, and government sectors. Your new role
In support of the rapidly growing infrastructure and development in South Australia, the Construction Manager will be dedicated to managing and overseeing the execution of projects in accordance with the in-house systems, including operations and project management. The Construction Manager will be responsible for managing resource requirements within the division and forecasting resource requirements for all existing and future projects – blue collar, white collar, QSE, subcontractor, plant and equipment requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to development of systems and processes
- Supervise and direct personnel working on the project and mentor subordinates to develop their careers while identifying skills gaps and training requirements
- Assist senior management as required for Delta Group operations in Australia and overseas
- Enforce safety measures and company regulations, and obtain required licences and permits
- Assist in establishing growth and development for Delta Group and its affiliated companies as required
- 15+ years of construction management experience
- Engineering/Construction Degree or equivalent relevant qualifications
- Background in civil, demolition and remediation.
- Solid understanding of each phase of the construction process
- Commitment to leading large teams and driving company objectives
- Project and contract management
- Cert 4 in Safety or Overseas equivalent.
- Computer-literate with typing speed and accuracy
- Self-starter with a practical approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
