As a Cyber Security Architect, you play a part in being responsible for the Cyber Security Architecture strategy and design across the organisation’s products and services. You will assist in building modern technology services that are secure and maintain the highest levels of accessibility, while partnering with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation to enforce Cyber Security Architecture.

You will assist in the strategic direction of technology investments across IT development and deployment solutions. You will create security standards, design overall organisational security architecture and design, and be a subject-matter expert, working cross functionally with other teams on security architecture, network security, and reviewing network security implications of technical designs and implementations.

In addition, you will review services to analyse and assess vulnerabilities, lead a continuous programme of penetration testing across the organisation, select security standards and methods to ensure they are effectively applied, and identify and mitigate technology-related risks by coordinating, accessing, monitoring, and managing their status on an ongoing basis.

Your profile

  • Knowledge and experience of security and system architectures; the relevant technologies, tools and platforms, the best modern practice; industry trends and risks
  • Knowledge of modern technology security practices around services, infrastructure, hosting, and platforms; open-source technologies
  • Knowledge of modern software and software development practice, including the various options around self-built, low-code and outsourced services
  • Knowledge of Devops practice and culture and associated practices like continuous deployment and testing, test-driven development, and pair programming
  • Knowledge delivering systems and security designs, patterns, and decisions at pace
  • Knowledge influencing technology strategy, design patterns, policies and behaviour
  • Working with APIs and microservices architecture and managing the relationships between interdependent product and platform teams
  • Experience building complex services in code and working in a culture of continuous code release
