Data Engineer Manager | £850 Inside IR35 | London | Hybrid

I’m currently working with a consultancy firm on the lookout for a Data Lakehouse Engineer to join their team on an initial 12-month contract.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the data engineering team.
  • Architect and optimise data lakehouse solutions for performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements

  • Experience in data engineering and management, especially with data lakehouse or data warehouse architecture.
  • Proficiency in either Python, Java or Scala.
  • Experience with SQL
  • Preference for multi-cloud experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Strong understanding of data integration tools and ETL processes.
  • Preferable experience with RDP, QA for Azure Fabric, Purview, and Snowflake.
  • Strong background with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Role details

  • £850 per day to the candidate
  • Initial 12 months contract
  • 2–3 days in the office (City)
