Digital & IT Project manager

Your new company

A UK-based independent environmental agency has approached Hays. They are looking for a skilled Digital & IT manager to support them on the next steps of their technological journey. They are seeking to recruit a qualified candidate for the role that starts on a temporary basis with the potential to become a permanent member of staff. This will be a remote-based role.

Your new role

As part of the IT department and reporting to the digital & IT Director, you would have a key role in the maintenance of their existing infrastructure and hardware, ensuring that they are functioning effectively and securely.


Responsibilities
  • Create detailed project plans, covering scope, schedules, budgets, and resource distribution
  • Lead project teams, with internal and external partners, ensuring everyone is consistent with the project's goals and objectives
  • Detect and report risks and issues, create migration plans to ensure successful project completion
  • Ability to understand user requirements and translate to technical deliverables, design, manage and implement project plans and work flows
  • To work closely with suppliers and the team in the organisation to ensure the service infrastructure is operational and secure
  • Provide training to line managers and staff on various systems

What you'll need to succeed

  • To have one or more - Prince2, PMBOK, Waterfall & Agile
  • To have at least 5 years experience delivering large digital projects
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including project, visio, outlook, PowerPoint, excel and word
  • Experience of content management, website development and hosting
  • Experience working within project reporting control and governance framework
  • Experience of analysing and gathering business requirements, to enable you to develop solutions


What you'll get in return

In return, you will be paid a competitive daily rate of £200 -250 per day. If you were to become a permanent member of staff, the salary would be £48000-£49000. You can work remotely from home, but you could also be a hybrid. They have offices in the northwest and the south. You will have a dedicated consultant at Hays that will assist with compliance, paperwork and payments. You will be given access to free training on the Hays website, and you will have-the-job and guidance from the IT director.
