Early Years specialist needed from January 2025 to work 2 days in the nursery of a Bridgnorth primary school.

Your new school

I work exclusively with a wonderful one form entry primary school in Bridgnorth. Their nursery is located within the main school and caters for children from 3 years of age. The school is spacious, inclusive and has a close-knit and friendly staff team. I have been fortunate enough to work with this school for a number of years and everyone who has worked with them has thoroughly enjoyed their time with them and asked to return!

Your new role

Working two days each week, on a Thursday and Friday, you will lead the nursery sessions on an AM and PM basis. The AM nursery session has up to 16–17 children, with the PM session having slightly fewer children. You will be supported on a full-time basis by an experienced Level 3 Early Years TA, who knows the children really well and who is currently covering this role until the Christmas break. Long-term plans are in place, and you will adapt these for the sessions that you deliver. The nursery day is from 8.45am to 3.15pm. There is no expectation to attend staff meetings that are on a Wednesday, and you will not be required to attend parents' evening or contribute to reports. Starting in January 2025, this job is for that spring term, until the Easter holiday.

What you'll need to succeed

The school is open to the successful candidate being either a Level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner, an HLTA or an Early Years Teacher - the key factor for successfully securing this Early Years professional job, is to hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification as a minimum and to have Early Years experience.

What you'll get in return

You will be welcomed into a warm and friendly school nursery, with lovely and polite children across school from Nursery to Year 6. You'll work with passionate, dedicated and reliable staff and will be supported by an approachable Senior Leadership Team. You will also be supported throughout this long-term job by a dedicated specialist consultant.
