Birmingham City Council are looking to appoint candidates for their Waste Enforcement Unit, where they are committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment for the community. We are looking for motivated and skilled individuals to join the team as a Waste Enforcement Officer.
Your new role
As a Waste Enforcement Officer, you will play a crucial role in investigating fly-tipping and other waste-related offences. You will be responsible for taking enforcement action where there is non-compliance, ensuring that the community remains clean and safe.
Key responsibilities will include conducting inspections and undertaking a range of enforcement actions, following procedures and policies with accuracy and effectively communicating, especially during conflict situations.What you'll need to succeed
You will be required to have proven experience of conducting inspections and enforcement actions, show the ability to follow procedures and demonstrate excellent communications skills.
What you'll get in return
You will receive weekly pay at a rate of £23.84 per hour. This role is starting immediately, and is an ongoing temporary position. You will also have the opportunity to apply for internal permanent positions.
