Job Title: English Teacher
Location: Leyland Secondary School, Leyland
Start Date: 3rd February
Job Description: A Secondary School in Leyland is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join their dynamic team for a maternity cover until December 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a positive learning environment, and helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Develop and implement effective classroom management strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the curriculum and share best practices.
  • Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in English or a related field.
  • Experience teaching English at the secondary school level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for teaching.
