Executive Head Teacher's PA, South Birmingham, B10, Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, To commence ASAP
Your new company
A secondary school based in South Birmingham, B10 is looking for an interim Executive Head Teacher's PA. The role will be interim initially with a possibility of permanent opportunities for the right candidate. The role is Monday to Friday, 8.00 am - 4.00 pm.
Your new role
- Maintain the Headteacher’s diary and organise appointments and meetings, ensuring that all necessary briefings, presentations, and papers required are available for meetings and are distributed to all parties in sufficient time. In the Head’s absence, refer matters to relevant members of the Senior Leadership Team for action.
- To liaise with parents, students and colleagues as required; ensuring matters are dealt with in a confidential and efficient matter.
- To plan, arrange and confirm all travel requirements for the executive head teacher.
- Deal with highly sensitive matters with tact and discretion, showing professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
- Make sound judgements about actions to be dealt with urgently and delegate tasks to other members of the administrative team as necessary.
- Accurately and confidentially keep records and minutes of meetings and events attended by the Headteacher and Senior Leadership team, as well as all to be responsible for all the Headteacher’s administrative filing including teacher appraisals, minutes to all meetings etc.
- To be responsible for new staff induction packs and support induction programmes.
- Ensure the Governors section of the school website is kept up to date.
- To lead and maintain up-to-date records and information on the Single Central Record in accordance with safeguarding policy and procedures.
- Maintain records and any relevant information from regular agency workers, contractors, volunteers, trainees, and any other regular visitors to the school.
- Manages SIMS records and is responsible for producing and submitting the School Workforce Census annual report.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an organised individual with the ability to work under pressure with conflicting deadlines.
You will need to have worked as a PA, preferably within an education setting or similar, and have recent satisfactory references to carry out this role. You will also have a current enhanced DBS to start the placement immediately.
