Finance Business Partner - 18 Months FTC - £53,000 - Hybrid Working - Hertfordshire

Your new company
My client is searching for a Finance Business Partner to join their team. The Finance Partner will play an integral role in the finance department, liaising internally with staff at all levels, and providing financial support to members of the Leadership Team whilst working in partnership with them and relevant team members. The key function of this role is to supply financial information, offer advice and guidance which will inform, influence, and readily support their decision-making.

Your new role
The successful candidate will have overall accountability for preparing, developing and managing all aspects of the monthly management accounting, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting, as well as provide support for the annual Business Planning cycle and year-end audit and statutory accounts.

Key responsibilities:
• Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth via the monthly management accounts.
• Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision-making for each budget holder monthly.
• Build strong and positive relationships with senior staff and provide them with the necessary assistance and professional advice to assist them with the financial aspects of their duties.
• Prepare accurate and timely management accounts and support the statutory audit preparation.
• Partner with operational colleagues to contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Manage capital expenditure ensuring the fixed asset register for all asset classes is accurately maintained.
• Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
• Review accounting processes and practices and improve where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations.
• Accountability for cash flow and production of forecasts.
• Review and produce monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts. • Production of relevant commercial analysis e.g. margins and pricing. • Review and assist development with investment/project appraisals. • Lead and line manage the Assistant Management Accountant, allocating work appropriately and providing guidance and support.

What you'll need to succeed
• A fully qualified accountant qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA)
• Experience of Business Partnering • Experience of preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasting
• Advanced Excel skills
• Ability to collect and interpret financial and operational data to assess efficiency and effectiveness, undertaking analysis and reporting and making recommendations as appropriate
• A thorough understanding of management information systems
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to successfully communicate and influence people at all levels, financially and non-financially
• Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to put complex financial issues into layman's terms for non-specialist audiences
• High competence with solid commercial acumen
• Capability to demonstrate up-to-date technical financial reporting knowledge
• Dynamic, committed and experienced
• Excellent team working skills and flexible approach to duties and working arrangements
