Our client, a leading Financial Services business in Edinburgh, has a rare opportunity for a commercially astute senior Finance Business Partner Lead.


Your new role

As the Senior Finance Business Partner Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making across the business. You will partner with senior leadership to provide insightful financial analysis, support business planning, and ensure the alignment of financial goals with the company's strategic objectives.
Your duties will be varied and include:

  • Leading and managing the finance business partnering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Providing strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to support business growth and profitability.
  • Developing and maintaining robust financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Analysing data, financial performance, identifying trends, and presenting actionable insights to drive business performance.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure financial alignment and support key business initiatives.
  • Monitoring and managing financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Driving process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function.

What you'll need to succeed

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance business partnering role within the financial services industry or within a complex commercial organisation in a corporate environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
