Temporary Finance Assistant

Location: Darlington
Duration: 3–6 months
Hourly Rate: £14.00 - £14.50 premium
Start: April 2025
Hays are currently recruiting for a school based in the Darlington area within the finance function. The role is to cover a busy transitional period and will support school finances as well as finance administration. The role requires full education clearance, including an enhanced DBS check.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Purchase orders raising
• Bus payments reconciliation and online income reconciliation via parent mail.
• Credit card reconciliations
• Support accounts payable.
• Supplier statement reconciliations
• General journal input
• General finance support

What you'll need to succeed

You will have finance experience, ideally within a school or college environment.
