Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor Role - Birmingham - Highway Maintenance
Your new company
You will be working for a leading and highly recognised Tier 1 infrastructure provider who works with numerous local authorities on a number of projects. Due to an increase in project workload, they are on the lookout for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a long-term freelance contract. You will be working on projects such as highway improvements, roundabout schemes and highway maintenance projects.
Your new role
You will be reporting into the Managing QS and you will play a crucial role in managing all aspects of the commercial and financial side of their highway projects. You will be responsible for, but not limited to, preparing and reviewing contract documents, which includes BOQ, specifications and drawings, overseeing and managing subcontractor agreements. In addition to that, you will provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will need experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on highway projects, which includes highway maintenance, highway improvements, roundabout schemes or junction improvements. Furthermore, you will have experience working on NEC3 or 4 models of contract. Being degree qualified isn't essential, but it is beneficial.
