Your new company
I am engaged on a project to recruit an experienced Full Stack C# .Net Developer to join a global leader in the trade/logistics space based in the heart of Southampton. You’ll be working for a business that expedites and simplifies the import/export process through innovative technology solutions.
Due to multiple recent acquisitions the environment is ripe for integrations and digital transformation. They have established themselves as market leaders with over 100,000 headcount in the space of 30 years so your ambition should match their growth, the sky is the limit.
This role is offered with 4 days in the office, 1 day remote in Southampton.
Your new role
This is a hands-on role with a requirement to bring new technical ideas ensuring they stay ahead of competition, mentoring others within the team and being and generally imparting software best practice. You’ll be building, implementing and testing scalable .Net components and helping to break down legacy monoliths which have supported them up to this stage of modernisation.
You will need to communicate with stakeholders in this role and talk to non-technical individuals, problem solving and supporting continuous integration and deployment pipelines. What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for a strong C# .Net Developer (5+ years’ experience), ideally with .Net Core and React (or a similar modern web framework) and MS SQL Server at the database level.
You should have good experience with containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines to deploy, manage, and scale applications effectively.
The ideal candidate with have experience with Message Queuing Systems such as Azure Service Bus and SOA.
In this role we’re looking for someone to push Modern Development Methodologies: Test-Driven Development (TDD), Agile, and DevOps practices. SOLID design principles.
