Grounds Maintenance Worker - £12 p/h PAYE - 8 weeks potential to extend - Yeovil

Your new company

You will be working in the grounds maintenance team for a large housing company.

The team are responsible for the cyclical upkeep of the communal areas to our customers. This covers a large geographical area and our customers includes market rent, shared ownership and independent living communities on many estates or the whole estate. We also provide a reactionary service where we have to deal with hazards which can be anything from dumped items to clearing snow on their independent living blocks.

They are also responsible for the management of the trees and like to retain as many as possible or replant if any are removed. We believe that the trees
play a big part in our communities by providing shade in the summer and promote a healthy wellbeing as well as offsetting our carbon footprint.

Your new role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the team based in Yeovil for two months.

We're looking for a proactive, great team player and someone with a good eye for detail who's looking for a new challenge.

Working within a team, you'll be responsible for the upkeep of the external communal areas, grass, shrubs and hedges. You may also be required to undertake soft landscaping/minor tree work.

What you'll need to succeed
Practical amenity horticultural knowledge & experience
PA1 and PA6AW qualifications (desirable, but not essential)
NPTC certification or equivalent (desirable, but not essential)
A full driver’s licence (with towing licence desirable)

What you'll get in return

£12 per hour PAYE
