Health and Safety Adviser with public sector experience

Your new company

Our client is a public sector organisation based in Buckinghamshire. They are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor with a strong public sector background, inclusive of the NHS and the higher education market. This is a rolling 3-month contract with no fixed end date.

Your new role

Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with local H+S regulations.
Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across the organisations properties.
Provide training and guidance to staff, faculty, and students on health and safety practices.
Investigate incidents and accidents, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes.

What you'll need to succeed

Experience of working in a health and safety role, preferably within a university or educational or NHS institution.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
