HR Advisor | £33,000 - £35,000 | Temporary (3-4 Months) | Manchester City Centre | Hybrid | 35 Hours

Your New Role

A large, longstanding public sector organisation seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Advisor for a temporary role lasting 3-4 months. You will provide a high-quality and efficient HR service across the organisation, supporting a range of HR activities and advising on various people matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level advice to managers and colleagues on a wide range of people matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance improvement.
  • Manage a busy caseload of staffing matters.
  • Ensure high-quality and accurate administration for all HR processes in line with service level agreements and deadlines.
  • Update HR software to keep colleague records up to date, including processing starters, leavers, and changes to terms and conditions.
  • Draft and distribute HR correspondence, such as change of hours, transfer/secondment letters, and maternity/adoption letters.
  • Allocate work from the people services inbox and respond to complex queries.
  • Develop strong and proactive working relationships with managers and colleagues.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in people policies and processes.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Previous experience working in a busy HR team, managing a caseload, and providing first-level advice on a wide range of people matters.
  • Good understanding of HR, equality, diversity, and inclusion best practices, and employment legislation.
  • Experience providing high-quality and accurate HR administration support.
  • Ability to draft clear, concise, and accurate documents.
  • Self-motivated with a flexible, 'can do' attitude.
  • Commitment to valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace.
